The Beach House Story

The Beach House developer is Southern Waterview Development, Inc. owned by Martha Cesery Taylor, AIA and Walter Q. Taylor, FAIA, who are both well known and experienced architects and brokers as well as developers. Together they have designed the Beach House to be the first registered US Green Building Council LEED residential development in the State of Florida.

To qualify as LEED certified, the project will have underground cisterns for storm water/reuse sprinkler system, indigenous plantings, photovoltaic and solar panels for common area and pool utilities, heat sensors lighting, chillers (air cooled condensers), two wind turbines and interior with low maintenance and low VOC emission material.

In addition, Southern Waterview Development has initiated green building practices which are above and beyond available sustainable building criteria. The formation of a Sustainable Conference and Study Center is included in the Beach House project to review contractor and product performance relative to green building technologies.

Condo unit owners can choose from a number of energy and water conserving appliances, and low energy products. Owning a residence at The Beach House means living in luxury. It also means living with lowest possible environmental footprint.

The design is a post modern British Colonial building with a white Bermuda roof and white exterior walls trimmed with stone. The structure will have open balconies overlooking the Atlantic Ocean for sunrises and the Intercoastal Waterway for sunsets.

The Architect is Walter Q. Taylor an award winning Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
